How Profna prevented over 800 tonnes of fabric from going to waste

A summary of the cumulative impact across our customer base in 2025.

Across 38 active customers in 2025, Profna-equipped lines avoided an estimated 812 tonnes of fabric waste compared to their own pre-deployment baselines. Translated into the resources behind that fabric, the same number means roughly 6.4 million litres of water and 1,940 MWh of electricity that did not have to be spent twice.

These numbers come from the simplest possible methodology: every customer's first 90 days serve as a baseline, and after the system is live we compare like-for-like SKUs and machine groups. We publish the methodology in full on our /impact page, including the assumptions we are still uncomfortable with.

Quality and sustainability are the same problem in a textile mill: every metre of avoided waste is avoided water, dye and emissions.

The point of putting these numbers out is not to claim a moral victory. It is to make the case that quality and sustainability are the same problem in a textile mill. Every metre of avoided waste is a metre of avoided water, dye, transport and emissions. The cheapest tonne of CO₂ we can save is the one we never had to produce.
